Restoration
There is no such thing as a typical Corvette restoration project, as every one of them has its own unique personal history. Form the initial factory development through the years of driving, maintenance and repairs, each era of Corvette has its own individual strengths and weaknesses. And, since we handle Corvettes from all over the nation, we understand all the key factors that can play a role in the way your Corvette has its own uniqueness. Everything from the way your Corvette is stored to the weather in your part of the country can play a role.
When a restoration candidate arrives at Corvette Specialty of California, a team is put together which will be responsible for the project from beginning to end. We evaluate the car for unusual signs of wear and tear, serious or hidden damage, non originality, etc. At the same time research begins to determine what items were original to that particular car, what replacement parts are readily available, and what materials and parts will be required. We review all of these appraisals and, on behalf of the client, turn them into a preliminary estimate of the resources (time and money) required. Communication and clarity of what is expected from each other is critical to our success which is why we set up an online album that is constantly updated so you can see the progress of the project. And of course our customers are always welcome to stop by anytime to review and discuss the restoration project.
